July 19 - 20 in Baton Rouge, La.
Where: We
may be at Independence Park in Baton
Rouge.
This is the same location where part of Mardi Gras and all of South
Regionals were held last spring. We will have lots of water out there.
Why:
Heatout is a money tournament.
Winner take all – the payout will be 75% of the entry fees collected
(10 teams = $1500 payout, 20 teams = $3000 payout) The tournament has been around for 2
years and we’re looking to expand the competition outside of the southern
region. Teams that have been coming
include Nationals qualifiers Doublewide, Chain, and Vicious Cycle as well
as Bulge, Dallas, Turbodog, etc.
Other: Because it’s been a payout tournament
we’ve avoided a party. In lieu of a
party we have provided as much free food as we can. We will have free Jambalaya at the fields
mid day Saturday and a big free BBQ Saturday following games as well as
lots of Abita! Beer.
We'll have Jambalaya at the
fields at around 2:00.
Starting around 6:00 we'll start some BBQ and tap the kegs at the fields
Games will start
at 9:30am Saturday – captain’s meeting at 9:00am
